Kiwi Josh Geary has followed up his opening round of 69 with a 5-under 66 second round to be just four shots behind the leaders after day two of the Made in HimmerLand presented by FREJA European Tour event in Denmark.
In only his second event back on the 2021 European Tour, the 36-year-old shot seven birdies and only two bogeys to be tied for 4th place on 7-under.
Austrian Bernd Wiesberger shot a 6-under 65 to be leading the tournament by two shots on 11-under, ahead of countryman Matthias Schwab on 9-under and Sweden’s Bjork Alexander on 8-under.
Geary’s first tour event this year was two weeks ago at the British Masters where he finished tied for 62nd. Last week he joined fellow Kiwi Daniel Hillier in Sweden for a Challenge Tour event where he finished tied for 12th.
