Josh Geary has completed his second European Tour outing this year tied for 6th place after a 4-under 67 in Denmark while fellow Kiwi Daniel Hillier has shot a 3-under 68 on the final day in Ireland to finish tied for 10th in a Challenge Tour event.

Geary finished with four rounds of sub 70 scores at the Made in HimmerLand presented by FREJA in Denmark. In the final round, Geary opened with a birdie and shot another two birdies and a bogey before the turn putting him at one stage in a tie for third.

On the second nine, he birdied the 10th and 14th but they were equalled by two bogeys on the 15th and 18th. In between, he shot an eagle on the par-four 17th to finish the tournament on 14-under and tied for 6th place which will see him move up 81 places in the European Tour’s Road to Dubai.

In the second tier European Tour the Challenge Tour, Daniel Hillier had his best result so far with a 4-under finish, tied for 10th place at the Irish Challenge in Dublin.

Following up on a 3-under 68 in round three, Hillier shot four birdies in the opening ten holes before dropping a shot on the 12th. From there it was even pars to finish the round.

Hillier has now played five tournaments on the tour and is ranked 37th after moving up 23 places following this 10th placing.

Hillier now follows the Challenge Tour to the Czech Republic next week while Geary will play the Porsche European Open alongside Ryan Fox in Hamburg Germany. The European Open will now start on Saturday rather than Thursday due to the latest Covid-19 restrictions in Germany placed on players coming in from the UK.
