Nick Voke Ties for Second in Nebraska

The Locals - Nick Voke

Kiwi Nick Voke has secured his best result on the US Korn Ferry Tour with a back-nine birdie blitz that saw him miss forcing a playoff by one shot in the final round of the Pinnacle Bank Championship in Omaha Nebraska.

Sitting 6 shots behind the leader Ryan Ruffels after day 3, Voke had it all to do in the final round and he started well with two early birdies at 2 and 4 before he gave both of those back with bogies on 5 and 6 and he was back to square one.

While Voke was keeping it steady, Australia Ruffels who led overnight was dropping shots and moved back into the pack eventually joining Voke on 10-under.

On the back nine, Voke went up a gear and shot birdies on 12,14,15 and 17 to put himself in the running on 10-under after a 4-under 67.

It was American Seth Reeves who teed off two hours before the final group who managed a 7-under round of 64 to beat them all and win by one shot on 11-under.
