Ko had six birdies and only one bogey in her round and it shows a strong return to the course after her rampaging finish in the ANA Inspiration two weeks ago where she finished second.

Ko teed off in the first round late in the day at 1pm and will tee off as one of the first on day two. Coverage of the second round will be broadcast on Sky Sport 6 from 11am on Friday.
